A quote for a drilling rig is only as good as the information behind it. The more clearly you describe the work, the sooner a manufacturer can recommend the right machine and the less likely you are to pay for something that does not fit.
The details that matter
- Depth: the depth you drill most often, and the deepest hole you expect
- Hole diameter: the sizes you drill most often
- Ground: hard rock, soft rock, boulders or mixed ground
- Carrier: truck, crawler or tractor, and any make you prefer or already own
- Compressor: whether you already have one, and its capacity, or whether you need one matched to the rig
- Location: where the rig will work and where it should be delivered
- Work: water wells, quarry or mining blast holes, construction, or exploration

- Photos of the vehicle you want to use, or of a rig you like
- The make and model of any rig you already own, if you want accessories or spares
- Your timeline and budget range
